Legal information
Terms of use
Last updated: 20 January 2026 — the French version is the legally binding one
1. About the service
Wapply is a job-search assistance application published by Midl. Wapply acts as a technical intermediary enabling candidates (the “Users”) to automate the sending of their applications to third-party sites (company careers sites, job boards).
Important: Wapply is neither a recruitment agency nor an employer. We provide a technology tool for delegating applications.
2. Access and registration
Minimum age: use of Wapply is strictly limited to natural persons aged 16 or over. By creating an account, the User declares and warrants that they have reached this minimum age.
Using Wapply requires creating an account. The User warrants that all information provided (CV, experience, identity) is accurate, truthful and up to date. Any false declaration is the sole responsibility of the User.
Financial terms: the Service is currently free. Wapply reserves the right to introduce paid features in future, subject to reasonable notice. No charge will be made without your prior consent.
3. Authority to act on your behalf
By using the application feature (“Swipe” or confirmation), the User expressly authorises Wapply to act in their name and on their behalf.
This authority allows Wapply (through its automated or human agents) to:
- access the third-party careers sites indicated by the job advertisement;
- complete application forms using the data provided by the User;
- accept the terms of use of those third-party sites on behalf of the User;
- submit the CV and associated documents.
4. Generated credentials and email alias
To operate the service technically and track applications, Wapply uses a dedicated identification system.
4.1. Creation of the Wapply alias
When applying, Wapply automatically generates a dedicated technical email address for the User (e.g. firstname.lastname+wapply@wapply.io), hereafter the “Wapply Alias”. The User authorises Wapply to use this alias to create candidate accounts on third-party sites.
4.2. Interception and processing of emails
The User understands and accepts that emails sent by recruiters to this Wapply Alias pass through Wapply's servers. The User authorises Wapply to:
- automatically analyse the content of those emails (parsing) in order to detect the status of the application (e.g. “Received”, “Interview”, “Rejected”) and update the application dashboard;
- forward important communications to the User's personal mailbox or through the application's internal messaging.
4.3. Ownership of third-party accounts and deletion of the alias
Although technically created by Wapply through the alias, the accounts opened on recruiters' sites (e.g. Workday, Taleo) legally belong to the User.
However, the Wapply Alias is technically tied to the existence of the Wapply account. Consequently:
- if the User closes or deletes their Wapply account, the Wapply Alias will be immediately and permanently deleted;
- any email sent afterwards by a recruiter to that address will be lost (undelivered).
5. Liability and best-efforts obligation
Wapply is under a best-efforts obligation.
Operation: we do everything we can to submit applications, but we do not guarantee that they are received (e.g. blocking by a third-party site, a complex captcha, an outage on the recruiter's site).
Results: Wapply gives no guarantee as to obtaining an interview or a job. The final decision rests exclusively with the third-party recruiters.
Third-party sites: Wapply is not responsible for the terms of use, data handling or bugs found on third-party companies' careers sites.
6. Intellectual property
The Wapply application, its design, its text and its technology are the exclusive property of Midl. The User retains full ownership of their personal data and their CV (“User Content”).
7. Termination
The User may delete their account at any time. Doing so deletes the data held on Wapply's servers, but does not automatically remove applications already sent to third-party recruiters' sites.
8. Governing law
These terms of use are governed by French law. Any dispute concerning their performance falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the district of Wapply's registered office.
